Food has always been my passion, not just the flavors but the whole experience of where and how I enjoy it. I love discovering new places and tasting things I haven't tried before.
When I visit a spot, I care about how the food looks and tastes, how the drink complements the meal, how I feel inside the space, and how I was treated. And mostly, what I feel after and what I want to come back for.
I started in graphic design in 2007. For years, I worked with restaurants and hospitality. I watched spaces come together from nothing and play a role in their creation. As a designer, I value attention to detail and quality. I catch details others might miss, making every experience more memorable.
A few years ago, I decided to pursue my passion for wine. I left my office job and entered the wine world. I completed WSET levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Italian Wine Essentials program. There, I gained a deeper understanding of global wine styles, winemaking techniques, and the quality differences that make each wine unique. I always wanted to understand what was behind the glass — the history, the land, the people, and how much time, work, and passion it takes to create what you're drinking.
But there was a missing piece to the puzzle. How could I eat and drink whatever I want and stay healthy? How to choose between a glass of wine and dessert for dinner? After a year of learning, I became a certified health coach. Now, I can combine a healthy lifestyle with my love for food and wine, and I can tell you how.
My friends always asked me for recommendations: where to go or what to order. And I decided to share everything more openly, with them and with you.
So I built Winecious for people who feel the same way. Food, wine, and a healthy life are not opposites. They go together beautifully, if you know how.
On Winecious, you'll find wine pairing guides, restaurant and hotel reviews, travel stories, and practical advice on food and healthy living.
