Cozy Brunch Spots in Los Angeles You’ll Love (2025 Guide)
Explore the best brunch in Los Angeles — Malibu, Santa Monica, Culver City, and beyond. Handpicked restaurants with style, flavor, and California sunshine.

There were many moments while I was creating this list that you can't even imagine. I went back to some of the places a few times, to see if I'd changed my mind.
And guess what?
While I was doing that, a few of my favorite spots either closed for renovation or disappeared completely. Yes, it's unfortunate, but it means I'll need to explore more new places to offer you better options.
This time, I decided to keep my stories about each spot shorter, to make it easy to read. A few great brunch spots didn't make it here, though, because I decided to save them for another list.
And please don't hesitate to drop me a message on Instagram if there's a place from your list you're curious about but not yet ready to visit it. I'll check it out for you 😉
1 • Bianca
One of my favorite spots in LA, especially if you sit on the terrace. Bianca has a cozy Italian charm, complete with lemon trees, small tables, and umbrellas.
While many dishes here are Italian, the menu also offers options influenced by the owners’ roots: Italian, Argentinean, and French.

Their breakfast menu is small, but it has everything you need to start your day: egg dishes, sandwiches, and their top choices, such as the most delicious tomato soup with avocado toast and lemon ricotta pancakes. Just a perfect combination for a Bellini or a glass of Prosecco.

If you come for brunch, the menu expands to include daily specials such as pasta, pizza, risotto, salads, and other main courses featuring fish or meat.
And if you’re craving something sweet, they have it too (I wrote about their pastries in another article 🥐).
2 • Orla by Michael Mina
This restaurant is located inside the Regent Santa Monica Beach hotel, right on Ocean Avenue, so it has beautiful ocean views. The space is divided into a few zones, with a very stylish bar area in the middle.
It’s part of the Michael Mina group - the chef known for his elegant, flavor-focused restaurants across the U.S.

The cuisine is Mediterranean with Egyptian influences, featuring mezze, seafood, and charcoal-grilled flavors.
Weekend Brunch (11 am – 3 pm) is served as a Prix Fixe menu, which includes one starter and one main dish. There are plenty of options to choose from: frittata, crab benedict, toasts, and more.

I tried the Za’atar Cured Salmon* as a starter with zucchini fritters, trout roe, and tzatziki and it was sooooo good. As an experience, you can also add something from the Shellfish & Caviar menu (for an additional price).
Overall, Orla feels like a perfect spot if you’re looking for something stylish and calm with great food and ocean views.

3 • Plateia UCLA
Plateia is located on the UCLA campus, surrounded by olive trees. The atmosphere is calm and minimalist, with a sense of being in a garden.

The menu is Mediterranean-inspired, with a focus on fresh ingredients, featuring salads, flatbreads, grilled fish, and light appetizers.
At breakfast time (every day until 10 am), the menu features egg dishes, oatmeal, yogurt with granola, and delicious Moroccan Orange Pancakes (which are truly exceptional). Lunch starts at 11.

The drink menu is small but well-curated, featuring a good selection of coffee-based beverages.
It’s a comfortable and quiet place to come for breakfast or lunch, especially if you want to take a break from the city noise.
4 • Mom, please Ukrainian food
Mom Please is a Ukrainian restaurant that brings warm, homemade flavors to Los Angeles. It's a simple and cozy place where everything reminds you of traditional comfort food, from borscht and varenyky to olivye salad.

Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made from scratch. The menu changes slightly with the seasons, offering some additional options beyond the main menu.
However, the best part here is that during the day, you can order breakfast and brunch dishes, such as syrnyky or crepes.

Every time I'm here, I feel like I'm at home - smells of cooking, sounds of conversation, and familiar flavors. It's simple, comforting, and full of heart.
5 • Irori Sushi
Irori Sushi has been around for years - a great hidden spot in Marina del Rey that locals truly love. The place is small and simple, but the quality has always been great.
Additionally, it's the only spot in LA where you're required to take off your shoes and sit on the floor.

They're known for their sushi bar and Japanese dishes. Until 3 pm daily, there's a lunch menu with interesting options available, along with daily specials and an Omakase menu that includes starters, sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, and dessert.
My personal favorites: bluefin buratta, kampachi carpaccio, rock shrimp tempura, salmon blue crab, dragon roll

It's quiet place, with a relaxed atmosphere and a genuine local feel, perfect if you want something authentic and not too crowded (depending on the time).
6 • Geoffrey’s
If you’re looking for a charming spot in Malibu, this place is a true gem. The view is incredible, featuring a blue sky, vibrant flowers, leafy green bushes, and the beautiful ocean stretching out before you.
Once you're seated outside, the gentle breeze wraps around you, making it feel like a little vacation.

The brunch menu has everything you'd expect from a coastal restaurant, including fresh seafood, salads, eggs, and delightful cocktails.
The cocktail menu is excellent for anyone who prefers alcoholic or non-alcoholic options. Last time I tried a delicious drink with watermelon and French Bloom (nonalcoholic sparkling wine).

If you're in the mood for dessert, I highly recommend the warm apple tart or the Pavlova (perfect for sharing between two or three people)
And if you want to stay longer in the area, you can walk down to the beach right from the restaurant.
7 • Calabra
Located on the rooftop of Proper Hotel, Calabra is one of the most stylish spots for brunch in Santa Monica with city view.

The menu combines Mediterranean and Californian cuisine, lots of fresh colorful dishes, and beautiful plating. You’ll find options like shakshuka, avocado toast, mezze plates, seasonal salads and entrees. The drink menu includes smoothies, wellness drinks as well as wine and beer.

It’s a great place to come with friends, enjoy a glass of wine, and take in the view.
8 • Laurel Grill
Laurel Grill is a modern and spacious place in the heart of Culver City. The location is great, because after or before dining, you can take a walk around downtown, sit on the steps with a view of the Culver Hotel, or visit the nearby movie theater.

Their signature feature is the charcoal oven, and they make delicious oak-fired pizzas that are really worth trying. The menu also includes salads, pasta, seafood, and burgers, so there's something for everyone. Also, it has a great wine menu by the glass.

Overall, is comfortable, bright, and perfect for a relaxed lunch or early dinner in the city. Walk-ins welcome. If you arrive for an early dinner around 5 pm, you don't need a reservation.
9 • Hatchet Hall
It is one of the restaurants in Culver City I’ve been visiting since before the COVID pandemic. Back then, they didn’t have such a big terrace as they do now. It’s definitely a nice upgrade; now it feels more open, cozy, and perfect, not only for brunch but also for dinner.

The restaurant specializes in modern American cuisine with a Southern influence, featuring wood-fire cooking, local ingredients, and seasonal flavors. The menu changes often, but everything I’ve tried here has always been full of flavor and personality.

What I like most is that the food remains consistently good, and the atmosphere retains its charm. It’s not fancy or chic, but it's one of those spots that feels both casual and special at the same time.
10 • Negroni
Negroni Caffè Bar is a stylish place that combines the ambiance of an Italian bar with a modern LA flair, situated in the heart of Beverly Hills, on N Canon Drive.
As the name suggests, the bar is renowned for its cocktails, particularly its variations of the classic Negroni, which range from traditional to fruit-infused and seasonal versions.

The menu combines international flavors with a touch of gourmet style. You’ll find tartares, salads, sushi, pasta, nigiri, and more. Btw, octopus with potatoes is pure love.
Brunch is only available on weekends until 4 pm.

The place is bright and stylish, with a good mix of an easy-going atmosphere and calm vibes, perfect for lunch, dinner, or cocktails with friends.
